ONE FUN MONTH!

It's been a fun past two weeks with our boys. Kade and Ethan are both growing. Kade is getting taller and his vocabulary is steadily increasing, which isn't always a good thing because he's fully aware of how to use the word, "no," and he says it often. He's also watching our every move and knows how everyhting works without us showing him. (Uncle Jer found that out when he offered Kade a tic tac and Kade popped the lid open without any hesitation.) Ethan is growing too, but what impresses me most is how aware and alert he is.... the mature, thinking kind of way, if that makes any sense. You may not be able to see it in the pictures, but he is so interested in everything around him and interacts with us completely-- smiles, laughs, giggles. He knows how to get our attention and keep it! He's playing with toys, now, and that excites me! All the baby toys have come out and Ethan has enjoyed the rattles and other toys that he can make noises with. Kade had to readjust a little to sharing but now he brings the toys to Ethan. What's really cute is when he brings his beloved cars to Ethan for him to play with. Ethan doesn't really know what to do with them (they don't make any fun noises) so he usually just drops them, but it's good to see Kade share even his favorite toys.

Here are some pictures of us from this month....

Ethan: bathed and beautiful!

Kade in his "bedroom." He currently sleeps in our walk-in closet! And as you can see, HE LOVES IT!

Being 2:

A few weeks ago on sunday, Kade marked himself up with crayola markers. Two sundays ago, he frosted himself and our bathroom with my loose powder blush. And this sunday, he had a go with my mascara. See a trend? Needless to say, all of the make-up, bathroom items, crayons, markers, pens, pencils, sidewalk chalk, and any other loose ends have been placed well above Kade's reach. Luckily, all of the messes were somewhat contained... Kade was usually the only thing he chose to mark. The blush was an exception. But at least that was mostly in the bathroom. With every episode, I worried that his clothes (sunday clothes, I might add) were ruined, but thanks to a little stain-removing ingenuity and crossed fingers they all came out unscathed!

Casey's older brother, Jeremy, is selling pest control with Casey and we're sharing an apartment. Kade has loved having his uncle around. He thinks Jer is so cool! Yesturday while I made dinner, Kade got ahold of a stray potato and played with it until dinner was done. Casey and Jer got home during that time and Jer decided to give the potato a face! We named it Spud, but Casey wanted to call it Paul Harvey because it is a "Common Tater." =)

Kade likes to push his truck around everyday, nearly ALL day! (our poor neighbors below us) A few days ago, he added his dog into the equation. In this video, he's having the dog give the camera kisses and then trucking it around through the living room and kitchen. He's so fun to watch!
