Tastes Like Chicken!

While knocking doors, a little girl was almost bitten by a rattle snake. Luckily Jeremy and I were there for the rescue. I picked the snake up and put it in a bucket and we took it "out of the neighborhood." We left the neighborhood, but the snake took a longer journey.

While the snake meat marinated we stretched the skin and salted it so that we can have a really cool memento. A Diamond Back Rattle Snake skin; who knows, maybe we;ll make a pair of boots! :)

Yummy! To our great surprise the snake actually does taste really good! I have now officially barbecued rattle snake!!! You should try it... it is GOOD!

He actually liked it, but thought it would make a fun picture.

First BITE!!!

Guess who's eating "real" food now?! Our little Ethan is 6 months old and just had his first taste of rice cereal thursday. Here are some fun photos documenting the moment and a video of his first bite!

Casey was laying on the floor after work today and Kade decided to lay down, too. Kade thought he was really clever and wanted Ethan to join in so we helped layer the boys on top of Casey and Kade did his best to be on top without squishing his brother. (=
